Field parameters #

The cross-type parameter catalog: what every field (whatever its type) accepts in a schema, grouped by category. Each parameter notes which types carry it; each field type page links back here.

• Analysis — analyzer, search_analyzer, normalizer
• Indexing — index, index_options, norms, null_value
• Storage layout — source, column, store, profile
• Realtime and in-place — realtime, inplace
• Structural — properties, fields (multi-fields), nested
• Type-specific — format, vector_options, relation

Not yet exposed through the schema API #

• index_sort: engine-side capability — sort documents by one field at index time ({"order": "asc", "missing": "last"}), applied during compaction, letting sorted segments terminate range/sort queries early. Not yet exposed through the collection schema API (no request-body parameter accepts it); setting it programmatically on an engine schema is the only path today.
